NORTH BELLMORE F.D.

    North Bellmore is located in Nassau County, New York, United States. The population according to the 2000 census was 20,079.   North Bellmore is located on the south shore of Long Island, approximately 27 miles east of Manhattan, and 10 miles east of the Nassau-Queens (New York City) Line. 
    Notable - Lenny Bruce  grew up in
Bellmore, and attended Wellington C. Mepham High School.  A comedian, social critic and satirist. His 1964 conviction in an obscenity trial was followed by a posthumous pardon, the first in New York state history.

   Gary, "The Local Brush" was commissioned by the North Bellmore Fire Dept. to create a new LOGO & AIRBRUSH it onto their new Ladder Truck. They had ideas of a very mean Bulldog wearing a helmet with a wooden handled ax.  The established date was very important.

    The picture BELOW shows that every AIRBRUSHED vehicle must be completely masked & covered in plastic.  No mater how large the vehicle.  This is to prevent any overspray from getting on the rest of the truck.

The unfinished AIRBRUSHED Bulldog LOGO is clearly noticeable in the upper center of the picture
